You hear a lot these days about how moms are going back to school in record numbers. The truth is that dads are going back to school too! You may not believe what I am about to say, but there are ways that fathers can return to school this year. Most people are not aware that there are more men unemployed right now than women. Many of the manufacturing jobs have gone overseas, so men have less opportunities than they did even a few years ago. For that reason, the jobs just aren't available anymore! Fortunately, there are scholarships for dads in 2011.

What you want to do is to start by looking for things that are related to the jobs you have done in the past. There are many places you can look for grant money. Here are the places I would look:

1. Look for money at employers' offices.
These are some places where you can look for free money for school. Many larger companies will offer grant money for students who want to return to school. You will want to to check out companies that hire employees to do the same kind of work for which you will be going back to class. If you going back to school to be a lawyer, then check with the larger law firms for opportunities that could be available.

2. Look for money at colleges.
Colleges always know where the cash can be found. You should check at the college you will be attending and see where they can direct you to apply for financial aid. This is a great way to get cash.

3. Look online on the internet.
There are places where you can go online and apply for aid. It is not all that difficult to find these sites. Do a very specific search for aid for fathers and dads so you can find those opportunities that are available for you!

These are some of the main ways you can find scholarships for dads this year. Parents all over the country are looking to go back to school so they can provide for their families this year! There are ways to pay for school, and you simply need to spend the time to find those opportunities!
